GUNS. 1) DAISY 20th CENTURY 3rd VARIANT SHEET METAL AIR GUN. Cal. 180/BB. NSN. Bbl. loading single shot. Action breaks at wrist for loading. Nickel finished sheet metal construction. Left side of action has 1901 patent date. Oval shaped stock. The 20th Century was the first Daisy to have a wood stock. Mfg. 1903-1910. CONDITION: over 20% nickel fading to brown. Bbl. tube shows small dents. Stock shows wear & handling marks. Action has good compression. 2) MARKHAM CHICAGO. Cal. 180/BB. NSN. Full length rosewood stained maple stock breaks in the middle for cocking. Double iron cocking bars. Markham produced the first commercially successful air gun in 1886. The Chicago model was introduced in 1887. Markham-King was eventually absorbed by Daisy. CONDITION: original wood finish shows numerous scratches, marks & dents. The right side of the butt section has a crack extending from the cocking bar slot. The forearm section ahs around the right cocking bar attachment point. The right cocking bar shows a slight bend. 3) KING MODEL C. Cal. 180/BB. NSN. Nickel finished sheet metal action. Single shot actin breaks in the middle for cocking. Sheet metal construction. Oval profile wood stock. Mfg. 1905-1909. CONDITION: nickel finish has largely faded to gray showing areas of dark corrosion. Original stock finish shows handling marks. Action has weak compression.
