Cal. 12 GA. S# U294. Bbl. 30". Ranger (Model 520) pump action shotgun mfg. by Stevens and retailed by Sears. Left side of the bbl. is marked "BROWNING PATENT/ 12 GA. PROOF TESTED", with a cowboy atop a horse above "RANGER" marked on the left side of the receiver. Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Checkered wood pistol grip buttstock and pump, with a Hawkins red rubber recoil pad. Aluminum bead front sight. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to gray and brown patinas, scattered areas of what appears to be a light layer of varnish, as well as scattered spots of light to mild surface oxidation overall. Trigger guard and lower receiver tang exhibit mild to moderate degrees of surface oxidation. Mirror bore. Wood furniture shows scattered marks and impressions from handling and storage, with some spots of what appears to be white paint and an area of adhesive present on the buttstock. (25-1361/MLW).
