Lot 2457 RARE HARTFORD ARMS & EQUIPMENT COMPANY MODEL 1925
SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 22 LR. S# 3504. Bbl. 6 3/4". 1 of approx. 5,000 Model 1925 pistols mfg. by The Hartford Arms & Equipment Company prior to the company's acquisition by High Standard in 1932 (this design would go on the become High Standard's Model B). The left side of the frame is marked "MANFD. BY/ THE HARTFORD ARMS & EQUIP. CO./ HARTFORD, CONN./ PATENTED/ 22 CAL./ LONG RIFLE". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall. Frame is mounted with 2-piece grooved wood grips. Dovetailed blade front sight and square notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame (front grip strap) and slide (interior). MAGS: x1 10-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain fair amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning fading to gray patina, scattered superficial handling marks, as well as scattered spots and small patches of light surface oxidation. Bright bore, exhibiting some scattered spots of light pitting, while retaining fair to good rifling throughout. Proper manual mechanics. Grips show some wear and scattered marks from handling and storage, with a crack present on the top and bottom of the right grip panel, both stemming from the screw slots.
