Lot 2203 RUGER OLD MODEL 44 FLAT TOP BLACKHAWK REVOLVER.
Cal. 44 Mag. S# 6939. Bbl. 6 1/2" with serrated blade integral to ramped base for front sight plus frame mounted Micro adjustable rear sight. Mfg. 1958 (1956-1962) as BKH-46 with standard Type 2 features of flat topped cylinder frame, concave dimpled ejector rod head, steel offset ejector housing, capped base pin latch, base pin with narrow lands (no collar) plus XR3 alloy grip frame having "contoured" walnut grips grips of nice figure; black eagle medallions. Six groove barrel has Southport address without eagle logo or "INC."; eagle logo on cylinder frame. Original lock work without factory safety update. Plum hued loading gate. CONDITION: good original finish with areas of high point thinning plus an occasional very small spot of oxidation (mostly near top strap and on cylinder). Most finish loss confined to ejector housing and cylinder. Left edge of rear sight void of finish. Front sight and surrounding area appears to have cold bluing with a slight patina tone to sight. Top rear corners of cylinder frame on each side of rear sight have been rounded with appearance of cold bluing; purpose unknown. Grip frame is very good with slight thinning on edges at butt. Left grip is near excellent; right has some light chips at outer edge of butt. Near excellent bore. (26-1035/NW). CURIO. $500-750.
