^Lot 2199 ENGRAVED RUGER OLD MODEL 357 BLACKHAWK REVOLVER.

Cal. 357 Mag. S# 30-99488. Bbl. 4 5/8" with ramped serrated front sight blade on base; frame mounted factory adjustable rear sight. Mfg. 1971 (1962-1973) with protected rear sight frame, XR3-RED alloy grip frame, alloy ejector housing, original lockwork without factory safety update and nicely carved original walnut grips (vintage vine pattern) having silver eagle medallions; bushings reversed so screw head is on right. Finely engraved with gold inlaid accents plus shaded areas to include most of cylinder and cylinder frame. Serial number that was on right front of cylinder frame has been reapplied to bottom front of cylinder frame and to butt of grip frame. Sides of hammer are blued and engraved. Grip frame, ejector housing and trigger have black enamel painted finish. Backstrap has been engraved before its new finish. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: nice oak case with shadow cut out for revolver plus 2 triangular 6 rd. ammo blocks in opposite corners. Top of lid has light marks and wood grain weather cracks. CONDITION: very good to near excellent overall with near excellent appearing grips and bore. Refinished after engraving with metal having slightly more gloss than original finish. Right grip has repair on back form pulled through bushing. Slight spots of black enamel loss; great enhancement would be a new ejector housing and refinishing of grip frame with a durable coating of Cerakote. Sides of blued hammer have slight friction marks from entering the cylinder frame. (25-1217/NW). CURIO. $650-900.
