Lot 2193 EARLY STAINLESS RUGER MINI-14 SEMI-AUTO CARBINE
WITH FACTORY FOLDING STOCK. Cal. 223 Rem. S# 182-29142. Bbl. 18 1/2" with barrel band having integral serrated ramped blade front sight; military style adjustable receiver sight at rear of action. Mfg. 1980 (1974-2004 for all Mini's and 1978-2004 for stainless models) with walnut stained birch handguard (utilized black nylon beginning 1983). Originally shipped as K-Mini-14/5 with walnut stained carbine hardwood stock; presently has original factory walnut stained hardwood folding stock used on other models. Samson (original folding stock supplier) currently offers a stock identical to this one but with Circassian Walnut. Retains original gas block with non detachable sling swivel on the bottom; true side folding models had a gas block with sling swivel on left side. Present stock has blued sling swivel and checkered black pistol grip. Action fitted with B-Square scope mount that utilizes the receiver side plate area so that no drilling and tapping is required for mount installation. Scope is Weaver Micro-Trac stainless steel K4-S (duplex reticle) which is the ONLY true stainless scope ever made; all other makes are of brushed or natural aluminum. MAGS: 1 factory 5 rd. CONDITION: PROVENANCE: all aspects of exterior and bore are near excellent. Scope optics have a very slight cloudiness behind front lens, but still serviceable; value plus rarity of this scope should warrant the cost of cleaning and regassing. From the Lifetime Collection of Malcolm Zickler, Ret. USAF Lt. Col. (26-1396/NW). MODERN. $750-1,000.
