^Lot 1586 Remington Rolling Block .38-55 Win #10618

Remington single shot rifle chambered in .35-55 Winchester. It features a 22" octagon barrel, smooth curved trigger, partridge front sight, sporting rear sight, smooth wood forend, and straight gripped wood stock with bare butt. It was finished with a blued barrel, and case colored receiver. The barrel finish is poor with rust, scratches/edge wear. Case color receiver and tangs are about 30% with handling wear, and some scattered light pin-prick pitting. The bore is dirty with strong rifling. Markings are generally crisp, except for the markings on the side of the receiver. The handguard wood is good, but the buttstock looks to be a replacement. The buttstock does not have a good fit to metal (showing gaps), but it is tight, and has a couple of cracks. The action is smooth and in good working condition. Manufactured between 1873 to 1910.
