Lot 1521 Italian Spiller & Burr .44 Cal #B5432
Reproduction of a single action percussion revolver chambered for .44 caliber ammunition, manufactured in Italy circa 1974. It features a blued 7 7/8" octagonal barrel, blade front sight, notched frame rear sight, color-case smooth thin curved trigger, color-case hammer, serrated hammer spur, non-fluted six shot cylinder, loading lever, brass frame & trigger guard, and two-piece smooth hardwood grips. Revolver exhibits approximately 75% of it's original blued finish showing drag wear on the cylinder, scattered scratches, edge wear, general handling wear throughout, and some thinning along the barrel. The brass frame shows handling wear, being scratches and dings, with the most notable on the rear sight groove cut into the top strap. Action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is very good with strong rifling. The wood grips are good showing handling wear with scratches and dings, but they fit tight with no cracks. This revolver appears to function properly but there were some small spots of rust on the cylinder, the hammer was re-contoured, and there is a shim that the cylinder pin goes through to keep the cylinder tight in the frame. Some of the screw slots show deformation.
