American made AR-15 type semi-automatic gas impingement rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, and manufactured in Ilion, NY. The Carbon-15 is light weight due to the Carbon Fiber upper & lower receivers. Rifle features a matte black finish, Magpul MOE carbine length handguard with M-Lok slots, carbine length gas system, four-position receiver extension, CAR style stock with sling slots, 16" pencil barrel with a 1:9 twist, A2 Birdcage flash hider, serrated receiver mounted manual safety, annular cut push-button magazine release, beveled magazine well, ejection port dust cover, bayonet lug on gas block, low profile gas block, aluminum Picatinny rail section on top of the upper receiver, brass deflector, annular cut forward assist, A2 style checkered pistol grip, serrated paddle bolt release, mil-spec single-stage trigger, AR15 bolt carrier, and mil-spec charging handle. Rifle retains approximately 99% of its original black barrel finish with superficial scratches. Metal displays a few small spots of rust on the bottom of the barrel, and minor deformation at the rear T-slot on the receivers picatinney rail. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. This rifle is pushing excellent condition if it was not for the observed rust.
