Bolt action rifle chambered in .338 Winchester Magnum and manufactured in Japan by Howa to S&W specifications from 1981-1985. It features a blued finish, in-the-white bolt body, 24" barrel, three round magazine, hard wood Monte Carlo stock, no provision for mechanical sights, Tasco 3-9x40 scope installed (duplex reticle), manual safety on the tang, alloy trigger guard, curved serrated trigger, hinged floorplate, and oversized rubber recoil pad. Wood sporter after-market stock features a smooth semi-pistol grip wrist, a smooth forend, high comb, and right handed cheekpiece. The length-of-pull is 14 1/4". Bore is dirty with strong rifling. The action appears to be smooth and crisp. The wood is very good with a few normal handling marks, and no cracks or gouges. Metal finish is very good with approximately 94% of the finish remaining. The blemishes consist of small scratches on barrel, edge wear, scratches on floorplate and trigger guard. There is a very small spot of rust on the left side of the barrel at about mid-length. Numerous scratches and divots on stock. Scope is clear.
