Lot 1164 Eddystone / CAI Pattern 14 .303 Brit #601578
For parts, or repair. A Pattern 14 British military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British. Manufactured in Eddystone, Pennsylvania by the Remington Arms Company of Delaware circa 1914-1916. Imported by C.A.I, of St. Albans, VT., with import marks on the right side of the barrel. Barrel length approx. 26 inches with protected blade front sight, and folding ladder rear aperture sight, manual safety, dog-leg style bolt handle, smooth floorplate, and a smooth metal buttplate with a storage compartment. Converted to "Drill Purpose" by welding a steel bar across the chamber. Red and White stripes painted across action. Bolt and receiver stamped "DP". Stock and handguard have notches cut in chamber area where plug was installed. Volley sights are not present. Metal parts were originally blued and retain approximately 60% of finish, and is overall in fair-to-good condition. It is missing the stacking swivel. Stock is in good condition but missing the handguard closest to the chamber, there are also many small dings and dents from use. The action seems sound and in good condition.
