Lot 1041 Izhvesk M91/30 'Mosin Nagant' 7.62x54R #7985

Russian (Soviet Union) WW2 military bolt action rifle chambered in 7.62x54R dated 1937. This is a sporterized rifle with no importation marks found. Features a round receiver, blued finish, straight smooth wood buttstock, finger grooved handguard, smooth curved trigger, an approximately 22 1/2" cut down barrel, smooth metal buttplate, installed banded front sight base, tangent rear sight graduated to 2000 meters, and a sling slot on the buttstock. The stock has been cut down to a little more than an inch from the rear sight. The original bolt handle has been turned down. The bore is very dirty, but appears to have strong rifling. Metal retains 90% of its blued finish with minor edge wear, thinning, and minor scratches. Most of the metal shows some light scattered rust. Bolt is in-the-white, also with scattered rust. Wood is very good with minor scratches and scuffs. Non-matching serial numbers.
Condition is NRA Fair to Good.
