Lot 1021 Smith & Wesson T/C Compass II 6.5 Creedmoor
#tjh0474 American made Thompson Center bolt-action sporting rifle chambered for 6.5 Creedmoor, and manufactured in Springfield, MA. Rifle features a matte black finish, a 22" threaded barrel, serrated knurled thread protector, scope rail sections mounted on the receiver, no provisions for iron sights, turned-down bolt handle with a collard knob, bolt release on left receiver rail, five-round detachable box magazine, three-position serrated manual bolt safety, and smooth curved trigger. The black synthetic furniture consists of a semi-pistol gripped Monte Carlo style shoulder stock with wave-like texturing at the wrist, finger grooved forend with wave-like texturing, sling studs in the forend and shoulder stock, Thompson Center compass logo on grip cap, and black solid rubber recoil pad. Rifle retains approximately 95% of its original matte black finish showing light scratches on the receiver by the scope rails, edge wear, and minimal scattered blemishes. Metal displays no rust, but the front scope rail is not square on the front edge. The edges of the trigger guard look like they have been softened with a file. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling, but dirty. The synthetic furniture is good with a few minor blemishes and dirt, and it looks like it has been relieved to free-float the barrel. Rifle includes a dope chart taped to the shoulder stock.
