^Lot 1012 Winchester 1300 'Ranger' 12 Ga #L2410166

'Ranger,' an American made slide-action shotgun chambered for 3" 12 Gauge shells, and manufactured in New Haven, CT. First introduced in 1978, this shotgun features a blued finish, a 28" ventilation ribbed barrel, removable modified choke installed (bore measures 'M' with a drop-in gauge), brass bead front sight, four-round half-length tubular magazine under barrel, smooth curved trigger, aluminum trigger guard with annular cut cross-bolt safety, gloss black aluminum receiver with serrated top strap, and dual action bars. The hardwood furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, checkered slide handle, 14" length-of-pull, and black ventilated factory recoil pad with black spacer. The original black barrel finish retained is approximately 99% with superficial scratches and blemishes. The painted receiver finish is very good with edge wear, and light blemishes. Metal displays no rust, or deformation. The hardwood furniture is in excellent condition with very light scattered blemishes, and some losses at the edge of the shoulder stock and recoil pad. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright and needs to be cleaned. The barrel and magazine cap do not appear to be original parts, and the shotgun cannot be rated better than good.
