Lot 1005 Savage Stevens 820B 12 Ga NVSN
American made pump-action shotgun chambered for 2-3/4" 12 Gauge shells, and manufactured in Chicopee Falls, MA. The Stevens Model 820 was produced between 1949 and 1954. There is a circled '30B' on the chamber area of the receiver's right side suggesting that this shotgun was made in 1950. Shotgun features a blued finish, a 28" round barrel, bore measures 'Full' with a drop-in gauge, brass bead front sight, smooth curved trigger, annular cut cross-bolt manual safety at the front of the trigger guard, half length magazine tube, and serrated slide release. The refinished hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, grooved corn-cob style slide handle, 14" length-of-pull, and black serrated hard rubber butt plate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 88% with light scattered scratches, edge wear, losses on top of the barrel, and wear from the slide handle. Metal displays light rust throughout, and there is a little deformation found in a screw slot. The refinished hardwood furniture is in good condition with scattered scratches and dings, general finish losses, and the butt plate is broken. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright and shiny. Shotgun includes the broken piece of butt plate.
