Lot 1004 Radom / Intrac Wz.44 7.62x54R #C20827

Unissued Polish KbK WZ44 Military carbine, considered the finest of all M44 carbines produced. Chambered in 7.62x54R, and imported by Intrac from Knoxville, TN. Manufactured from 1950-1955 with a total of 343,000 produced. They follow the same pattern as the Russian M44 models, with minor differences. Quality made rifle by FB Radom as represented by the circled "11" marked on receiver ring. The receiver ring also notes the manufacture date of 1951. It features a blued metal finish, an approximately 20 1/2" barrel, hooded elevation adjustable front sight, adjustable tangent rear sight graduated to 1000 meters, 5 round fixed magazine, hinged floorplate, smooth straight wood buttstock, smooth handguard, smooth metal buttplate, in-the-white bolt, provisions for side folding bayonet, smooth curved trigger, two barrel bands, sling slots in forend and buttstock. Serial numbers match on receiver ring, bolt, magazine floorplate, and buttplate. Blued metal finish remaining is approximately 97% with scratches on the left side of the magazine, and a small amount of edge wear around the trigger guard. The metal condition is generally excellent, but the buttplate and cocking piece show some rust. It appears that there is some water damage to this rifle. Wood looks very good and is unmarked from handling. The chrome lined bore is bright with strong rifling, and the action is smooth and crisp. Cleaning rod and spike bayonet removed.
Condition is NRA Good.
