American made lightweight small frame double-action-only revolver rated for .38 Special +P ammunition. Dubbed the 'Centennial Airweight,' it was manufactured sometime after 1997 in Springfield, MA. It features a satin matte finish, a 1 7/8" stainless steel barrel, serrated ramp front sight, integral square notched rear sight, fluted five-shot stainless steel cylinder, non-shrouded ejector rod, internal key lock safety, case hardened smooth curved trigger, concealed hammer, and a two pebbled black rubber grips with S&W insignias. It is built on a black anodized finished three screw round butt aluminum alloy J frame. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The action is smooth with a tight lockup. The original black finish retained is approximately 99% with only a faint drag line on the cylinder. Includes a black nylon soft case with a speed-loader in a pouch.
