"Grade I" Semiautomatic rifle made by FN Herstal, Belgium, and imported by Browning Arms Co, St. Louis, MO., & Montreal P.Q. circa 1968. It features a take-down barrel, blued finish, 19" barrel, blade front sight with brass bead, adjustable sporting flip-up rear sight, magazine tube in butt, serrated steel buttplate, and push button safety. The funiture consists of a checkered walnut butt with checkering around the wrist, and checkered forend. The barrel is drilled and tapped for optics mounting. Receiver is engraved with limited coverage of floral scrolls, and edge patterns. The rifle retains approximately 92% of its blued finish with edge wear at the muzzle, losses on top of the receiver and barrel from optics mounting, and thinning and scratches along the top of the barrel. The high-gloss wood furniture is good with several minor scratches and dings. The bore is bright with strong rifling. This rifle includes a scope mount with one ring and parts.
