Lot 957 Ruger Mark I .22 LR #16887
American made semi-automatic single-action rimfire pistol chambered for 22 Long Rifle, manufactured circa 1951 in Southport, CT. These rimfire pistols were manufactured between 1949 and 1982. Pistol features a high-gloss blued finish, an approximately 7" tapered bull barrel, fixed raised partridge front sight, micrometer adjustable notched rear sight, in-the-white serrated curved trigger, round textured frame mounted manual safety that doubles as a slide lock, smooth grip straps, serrated heel magazine release, and two-piece black plastic checkered grips with a Ruger medallion on the left grip panel. The original blued finish retained is approximately 96% with light edge wear, scratches on the backstrap by the take-down lever, and light scattered scratches. Metal displays no rust, but there are some very small nicks on the external edge of the muzzle. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the plastic grips are excellent. The action is smooth and crisp.
