Lot 911 Ithaca NID 'Field Grade' 12 Ga #442882

'New Ithaca Double' American made double barrel box-lock side by side field grade shotgun in 2 3/4" 12 gauge shells by Ithaca Gun Company Ithaca, NY. circa 1927. Featuring 32" blued ribbed barrels, brass bead front sight, double smooth curved triggers, extractor, serrated sliding tang safety, 'F' left bore and 'M' right bore (drop-in gauge), and cocking indicators. The hardwood furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, checkered splinter foend, deeley latch release, black plastic grip cap, 13 3/4" length-of-pull, and a black serrated plastic buttplate. Color-case hardened receiver displays limited coverage of a hunting scene with a dog, and stars. The original blued finish remaining is approximately 80% with scattered light scratches, edge wear, and some spots where the finish is thinning. Metal shows light scattered rust spots with some pin-prick pitting on the bottom side of the barrels, and the left barrel has some ligt damage the the muzzle. Furniture wood condition is good with normal scratches and dings throughout, and no observed cracks. Bore is shiny, but there is a small dent in the left bore near the muzzle. The action is smooth and crisp.
Condition is NRA Good.
