Manufactured in Italy by Armi Jager in 1974. This is a faithful reproduction of the 1863 Remington Zouave rifle with a 33” rifled barrel, bayonet lug, blade front, two folding leaf rear sights, steel ramrod, sling swivels, blued barrel, case colored hammer & lock plate, brass barrel bands, fore cap, triggerguard, patch box and crescent buttplate. Wood one-piece, straight wrist stock. Blue & case colors are very good, all there, brass has a nice mellow patina, two-cock hammer action works well, bore is very good and the wood is over very good/sound with minor scratches/scrapes. Comes with a Zouave Bayonet replica has a hilt of cast brass with a working spring catch, 22" blade. The sheath is stitched leather with brass accents.
