Lot 858 Uberti / Cimarron Lightning .38 Spl #J05509

Western style single-action revolver modeled after the Colt 1877 ‘Lightning,’ and chambered in .38 Colt. Manufactured circa 2001 ('BP' date code) in Italy by Uberti, and imported by Cimarron of Fredericksburg, Texas. Revolver features a blued & case hardened finish, a 4-3/4" barrel, fixed blade front sight, notched frame rear sight, smooth thin curved trigger, frame mounted firing pin, checkered hammer spur, fluted six-round cylinder, knurled cylinder pin head, round ejector rod head, and single-piece varnished smooth walnut bird's head grip. The frame and hammer have a color-case finish, while the remaining components are gloss blued. On top of the barrel is the import stamp in the style of a 'barrel address,' and it reads [CIMARRON FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS; MANUFACTURED BY A. UBERTI ITALY]. Revolver retains approximately 95% of its original finish with scratches under the barrel from removing the cylinder pin, some light scattered scratches, light edge wear, and drag lines on the cylinder. Metal displays no deformation, but it does show some rust on the grip screw and the grip strap next to it. Action is smooth and crisp with a tight lock-up, and the walnut grip is very good with light scattered handling marks. The bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also excellent. Serial number '509' matches on the frame, cylinder, and loading gate. This pistol would be very good if it wasn't for the observed rust.
Condition is NRA Good.
