Lot 842 Ruger 10/22 .17 HM2 #120-68155

Customized American made semiautomatic rimfire rifle chambered in .17 Hornady Mach 2, manufactured circa 1980 in Southport, CT. Featuring a blued tapered approximately 19" Green Mountain barrel, no provisions for iron sights, smooth curved trigger, oversized bolt handle, detachable rotary style magazine, push-button safety, manual bolt hold open with automatic bolt release, receiver drilled and tapped for mounting optics, owner fabricated extended magazine release, and aluminum trigger guard. Furniture consists of a hardwood semi-pistol grip stock with checkering at the wrist, checkered schnabel forend, hardwood grip cap, and red Winchester rubber recoil pad with black spacer. The receiver, trigger, and trigger guard are painted, and the barrel and bolt handle have a blued finish. The remaining original painted finish is approximately 94% with scattered nicks and scratches on the receiver and trigger guard. Bore is mostly bright with strong rifling, but there was observed rust inside the muzzle. The action is smooth and crisp. Metal condition is good with no external rust, or heavy blemishes. Furniture wood is excellent with only superficial scratches, and minor handling marks from storage. Rifle is topped with a Leupold fixed power scope with an adjustable objective, and fine crosshairs. A Weaver rail and rings mount the scope to the rifle, and the sight picture is clear. The front parallax adjustment ring on the scope makes contact with the barrel. Includes one factory 10-rd magazine. This firearm would be near-excellent if rust was not spotted inside the bore.
Condition is NRA Good.
