Lot 835 Uberti / E.M.F. 1871 .357 Mag. #09336

Italian made single-shot rolling block rifle chambered in .357 Magnum, manufactured by Uberti circa 1990 ('AZ' date code). Imported by Early & Modern Firearms Company (E.M.F. Co. LA CAL.) out of Los Angeles, CA. A fine reproduction of the Remington #2 rifle. It features an approximately 22" round blued barrel, blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, smooth curved trigger, exposed hammer with checkered spur, extractor, and checkered and serrated finger piece on the block. The receiver is color-case hardened, the triggerguard and buttplate are brass, and the remaining parts are blued. The furniture consists of a smooth straight hardwood buttstock, a smooth schnabel forend, and a smooth brass buttplate. Bore appears bright with strong rifling, and the action is smooth and crisp. The original blued finish remaining is approximately 98% with little remarkable to speak of. The receiver's color-case finish is excellent with only superficial scratches. The action is smooth and crisp. The furniture wood is excellent with some very minor blemishes. The forend looks like there were imperfections in the wood (left side edges) during manufacturing, and do not appear to be user inflicted damage. The metal condition is good with very light pin-prick pitting on the barrel in front of the rear sight, and there is verdigris on the buttplate. Pitting prevents this rifle from being excellent.
Condition is NRA Good.
