Lot 807 Miroku / Charles Daly Field Grade 12 Ga #S392097
Japanese made over and under box-lock shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 12 Gauge shells. Miroku made Charles Daly shotguns from the late 1960s to the early 1970s. Field grade shotgun, featuring a blued finish, 28" ventilated ribbed barrels, fixed chokes marked for Mod / Skeet, steel bead front sight, selective ejectors, single curved smooth gold-toned inertial trigger, checkered top lever, and serrated sliding tang safety and barrel selector. The gloss finished walnut furniture consists of a round knob shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, checkered forend with deeley latch release, long lower tang, 14" length-of-pull, 1-3/8" drop at comb, 2-3/8" drop at heel, and a black plastic B.C. Miroku buttplate. The receiver displays limited coverage of gold color filled floral scrolls, and edge designs. The engraving extends to many of the small parts including the top lever, trigger guard, sides of the top barrel, and on the forend parts. Receiver, forend, and barrels all have matching serial numbers, '392097.' The original blued finish remaining is approximately 98% with superficial scratches, and light edge wear at the muzzle and triggerguard. Bores look excellent and bright, and the action is tight with the top lever resting far right of center. Furniture wood is excellent with only a few scattered nicks and dings, where most are on the buttstock. The metal shows no rust or deformation.
