Lot 796 Remington 1900 12 GA #371064

Fully-restored American made break barrel box-lock shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 12 Gauge shells, manufactured between 1900 and 1910. This Model 1900 shotgun is marked under the barrel with 'KEC,' the 'K' represents a Model 1900, 'E' for ejector, and the 'C' is to be determined (usually barrel material). It features blued 30" barrels, left bore measures 'F' and the right measures 'IM' (drop-in gauge), solid rib, internal hammers, double smooth curved triggers, Bradley style front sight with white bead, serrated sliding tang safety, checkered top lever, and ejectors. The figured walnut furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, 14" length-of-pull to the front trigger, a checkered splinter, metal grip cap with embossed scroll designs with the letter 'M' engraved in the middle, and a brown rubber ventilated recoil pad. The blued finish remaining is approximately 98% with little remarkable to speak of. Receiver is color-case hardened, and the colors are still brilliant with no observed blemishes. The metal condition is excellent with no observed rust or deformation. Bore is bright, but dirty, and the action is smooth and crisp. The furniture wood is excellent with sharp checkering and only superficial blemishes.
Condition is NRA Excellent as restored.
