Lot 793 Winchester Model 52C .22 LR. #85842C

Desirable American made bolt action target rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, manufactured circa 1956. The model 52C (as noted by the suffix on the serial) is regarded by many as one of the finest small-caliber target rifles ever built. It features a blued finish, an approximately 28" bull barrel, no installed sights, installed scope and front sight blocks, curved wide serrated trigger, manual safety on the right side of the receiver, polished bolt, turned down bolt handle, stock mounted push button magazine release, and factory 5 round detachable magazine. The hardwood furniture consists of a smooth walnut bench rest type semi-pistol grip shoulder stock, smooth at the wrist, smooth forend with inlayed accessory rail, checkered metal buttplate, two sling swivels mounted on the accessory rail, and one sling swivel on the bottom of the buttstock. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the action is smooth and crisp. The original blued finish retained is approximately 95% with superficial scratches. The metal condition is good with no deformation, but there is rust on the buttplate. Stock is very good with small dents and scattered scratches.
Condition is NRA Good to Very Good.
