By Colorado artist, Jack M. Hamilton, titled "Winter in the High Mountains". Beautifully matted in natural linen and framed in natural-toned wood. Measures 42" wide by 29" tall. Hamilton loved the outdoors, nature's wildlife and American history. He spent years watching, studying and photographing his favorite subjects, often from his working cattle ranch in southern Colorado. Painting on both canvas and panel, Hamilton worked entirely in the medium of oil. Self-taught, the artist painted in the manner of the old masters. Hamilton was exhibited at many of the country's finest galleries and at many fine art shows. His work has been featured on the cover of, as well as in, national magazines.
