Lot 714 Ruger No. 3 .30-40 Krag #130-52760
American made single-Shot falling block action based on the No 1 Rifle manufactured circa 1974 in Southport, CT. Produced from 1973-1986, it features a simpler one-piece breech lever, an approximately 22" tapered barrel, a front blade/bead sight, rear sight dovetail filled with a slot blank, two piece scope bases mounted on barrel, sliding tang safety, a sling swivel stud on the barrel band, a sling swivel stud in the buttstock, and serrated curved adjustable trigger. The furniture includes a straight smooth walnut buttstock, smooth forearm with barrel band, and a smooth metal buttplate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 98% with little to no edge wear, or scratches, with the only remarkable blemishes on the buttplate from storage. The action is smooth and tight. Bore appears bright with strong rifling. The wood furniture is very good to excellent with minor marks on the bottom of the forend, and the rear of the buttstock. The scope bases and rings may be Ruger factory equipment, and they mount a Weaver K4-F fixed four power scope with a duplex reticle.
