American made double action 'N' frame revolver chambered in .44-40 Winchester manufactured circa 1986 in Springfield, MA. This is a Texas Sesquicentennial Commemorative pistol recognizing a 150 years of statehood, with only 4782 pistols manufactured in total. It features a six-round fluted cylinder, five inch barrel with top rib, a curved serrated target trigger, a target hammer with a checkered spur, checkered rubber Pachmayr grips, red ramped front sight, white outline adjustable rear sight, shrouded extractor rod, and 10 groove serrations on the front and backstrap. The barrel is marked '1936 Texas 1986,' and the frame is marked with a circled state of Texas, a wagon, and the dates '1836' and '1986' on the right side of the frame. The bore is excellent, the grips are excellent, and the action is smooth and crisp. The remaining bluing is approximately 94% with a small amount of edge wear, a drag line and blemishes on the cylinder, and fading finish on the bottom of the under lug. This firearm is coated with a dried oil, or CLP which gums things up a little.
