'Shaved Cylinder' British WWI era military revolver features 6" slab sided barrel, fixed front sight with pinned blade insert, notch rear sight on top latch, 6 shot fluted cylinder (appears cut at rear to allow use of 45 Auto Rim cartridges or 45 ACP in clips - more powerful than the original cartridge and hard on this revolver's action), break top style opening for loading and unloading, double/single action operation, fixed sights, square butt grip frame, checkered black plastic or hard rubber grips, lanyard ring on butt. Bore and charge holes are very good condition. Retains about 70% matte finish. overall dark gray colored with areas of light patina, holster wear, edges losses & handling marks. Grips are very good condition, no visible chips or cracks. Action operates smoothly, with good lock-up. Extractor star snaps back into place when fully opened. Markings are generally sharp & readable, include 1918 patent date, nitro proof marks. Numbers match on frame & barrel, cylinder mismatched.
