^Lot 658 Smith & Wesson Model 442 'Airweight' .38 Spl #BST1

'Centennial Airweight,' an American made lightweight five-shot double action only revolver chambered for .38 Special. Introduced in 1993, and manufactured in Springfield, MA. Revolver features a black anodized aluminum frame, 1 7/8" barrel, serrated ramped front sight, notched frame rear sight, color-case smooth curved trigger, internal hammer, non-shrouded guide rod, fluted five-shot cylinder, checkered cylinder release, smooth grip straps, three-screw round butt 'J' frame, and wood-backed faux pearl grips. The black finishes, in combination, remaining is approximately 98% with little remarkable other than a drag line on the cylinder. Metal displays no rust or deformation. Bore appears bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also excellent. The action is smooth and crisp with a tight lock-up. The grips are very good to excellent with a scratch on the right grip panel. Pistol includes a black leather Kramer holster.
