Lot 629 FM / CAI M90/ 'Hi-power' 9mm #371098
Argentine made single-action semi-automatic pistol chambered for 9x19mm, manufactured in Argentina by FM. Imported by Century Arms International out of Georgia, VT. The 'Direccion General Fabrications Militaries' (commonly called FM) produced Hi-powers at their arms factory, the 'Fabrica Armas Portatiles Domingo F. Matheu' in Rosario, Argentina. They made Hi-powers under Belgian FN license from 1969-1989. The M90 production started in 1990, and are not licensed copies of the FN Hi-Power MKII. Pistol features a thick black parkerized finish, 4.75" barrel, external extractor, fixed blade front sight with white dot, dovetailed notched rear sight with two white dots, metal guide rod with standard coil recoil spring, smooth curved trigger, external hammer, serrated hammer spur, serrated left frame mounted manual safety, left frame mounted slide catch, no magazine disconnect safety, checkered push-button magazine release, steel frame, smooth grip straps, serrated slide stop, and checkered two-piece black rubber grips. Numbers match where observed, on the frame, slide, and barrel. Pistol retains approximately 94% of its original finish showing minor scratches, edge wear, some patina at the heel of the grip, and some patches of finish loss on the right rear of the slide. Metal displays no rust, but there is deformation in the screw slot of the magazine release assembly. Action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The grips are also excellent. Pistol includes one magazine total.
