American made copy of the Russian AK-104, a centerfire semi-automatic long-stroke gas system carbine chambered for 7.62x39mm. This rifle was manufactured in West Columbia, SC. and uses some Palmetto State Armory (PSA) proprietary components. Rifle features a black stamped steel sheet metal receiver, a 12-1/2" nitride barrel with a pin-and-weld extended booster and 1:10" twist rate (16.2" with booster), windage and elevation adjustable protected post front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight graduated to 800 meters, extended shelf safety and dust cover, 90 degree combo sight/gas block, smooth curved single-stage trigger, cold-hammer forged front trunnion, cold-hammer forged bolt carrier, sling loop on handguard retainer, sling swivel on the right side of the buttstock, cleaning rod under barrel, left side receiver mounted optic mount, and paddle magazine release. The synthetic furniture consists of a left side-folding grooved buttstock with trap door and push-button release, metal grooved butt plate, classic checkered pistol grip, smooth handguard, and ventilated gripped forend. The original black finish retained is approximately 99% with nothing remarkable (most PSA receivers are Teflon coated). The metal displays no rust or deformation. The action is smooth and crisp, and the furniture is also excellent. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Rivets are round and pressed flat. Rifle includes original cardboard factry box with owner's manual, and lock.
