Harrington & Richardson (H&R) Model: 940, 6" barrel The left side of the barrel is marked “MODEL 940. .22 L.R. MADE IN U.S.A. The left frame is marked H&R INC. / GARDNER, MASS. U.S.A.”. The underside of the grip strap is marked with the serial number. Blue finish, 9-shot swing out cylinder. The front sight is a ramped blade integral to the vent rib above the muzzle. The rear sight is a square-notch installed to the rear of the top strap and is adjustable for windage. The grips are two-piece checkered walnut panels. The left panel has a semi-thumb rest. There are a couple of light scratches and nicks on the grips. The checkering remains sharp and there are no chips or cracks. The grips are in Excellent overall condition. Bore is excellent,action is smooth with tight lock-up. Finish is about 95% with edge wear, some chips on the vent rib. Manufactured 1977. Comes with a Hunter brown leather snap holster.
