'Field Grade' vintage side-by side double barrel sidelock shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 12 Gauge shells, manufactured between 1912 and 1950. Featuring blued approximately 30" Armor steel barrels, raised solid rib, extractor, brass bead front sight, double smooth curved triggers, left bore measures 'IM' and the right measures 'M' (drop-in gauge), 14" length-of-pull to front trigger, and serrated sliding tang safety. The furniture consists of a checkered semi-pistol grip shoulder stock, checkered walnut splinter forend, black grip cap, and black serrated plastic buttplate. Locks are marked "L.C. Smith," and the right barrel is marked "L.C. Smith Field Grade". Matching serial numbers on the receiver, barrels, and forend metal. Retained original blueing is approximately 98% with only superficial blemishes. The receiver, locks, and lever are all color-case hardened and still exhibit brilliant colors. Action is smooth and crisp, and the bores are bright with some minor inside the left barrel at the muzzle. Markings are sharp and clear. Furniture wood condition is very good with a dent on the left side of the buttstock, light scattered scratches and dings.
