Sporterized Chinese military semi-automatic service rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm, manufactured at the Arsenal 6016 circa 1963 in Shaanxi, China. Imported by Inter-American Import Company from Sacramento, CA. Features a black painted finish, a 20.25" barrel with a chrome lined bore, adjustable hooded post front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 1000 meters (type 3, mid-production block), milled trigger guard, late production milled receiver, spike bayonet, cleaning rod under barrel, smooth curved trigger, manual safety in the rear on the trigger guard, late two-piece gas tube, and 10 round fixed magazine. The original stock has been replaced with a black Monte Carlo style polymer finger grooved semi-pistol grip stock, checkering at the wrist, black plastic grip cap, checkering at the forearm, ventilated black rubber recoil pad, and vented handguard. Matching serial numbers are found on the receiver, bolt, bolt carrier, trigger guard, and magazine. The black paint finish is not original and approximately 88% of it is remaining with scattered scratches, light edge wear, grinding marks on the handguard metal and visible pitting under the finish. The polymer furniture is excellent. The action is smooth and crisp. The bore is bright with strong rifling.
