Lot 424 Browning Superposed 'Grade 1' 20 GA. #33077V4
Belgium made over and under box-lock shotgun chambered for 3" 20 Gauge shells, manufactured circa 1964, and imported by Browning Arms Company out of St. Louis, MO., and Montreal P.Q. Featuring blued finish, 26 1/2" vent ribbed barrels, fixed chokes marked for Full / Mod and measures Imp Mod / Imp Cyl with a drop-in gauge, ejectors, brass bead front sight, gold-toned single smooth curved inertia trigger, tang mounted serrated sliding barrel selector and safety, and a checkered top lever. The receiver, top lever, and trigger guard display limited coverage floral and scroll engravings with edge designs. High gloss finished straight grain walnut furniture consists of a round knob grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, long lower tang, sliding checkered forend with deeley latch release, 14" length-of-pull, 1-7/16" drop at comb, 2-1/4" drop at heel, and a Browning black plastic buttplate. The original blued finish retained is approximately 98% with only superficial scratches. Metal displays a small amount of light surface rust at the muzzle. Furniture wood looks excellent with light scattered dings, mostly on the forend. Bores are excellent and bright with a little dirt. The action is tight with the top lever standing right of center. This shotgun would be 'Excellent' without the observed rust.
