^Lot 412 Mauser 98 'Sporter' .338 Win Mag NVSN

Exceptional custom sporting rifle built a 98 Mauser action. Chambered in .338 Winchester Magnum. 24" tapered barrel, no provisions for sights, matte blue finish, flag safety, machine turned 'jeweled' extractor, swept back bolt handle, hinged floorplate, serrated trigger. ".338 WIN." marked on barrel, no other markings. Nice high gloss Monte-Carlo style stock with checkered panels at the wrist & forearm, shadow line cheek piece for right-hand shooting, sling studs, solid red rubber Pachmayr recoil pad with black spacer, floral/scroll engraved grip cap with gold "J". LOP is 14". Mounted with a one piece Burris scope base & rings, a Burris 3X-9X scope, duplex reticle, clear optics. The bore is excellent/bright, action is smooth, the finish is about 98% with very minor scratches, a couple of minor rubs on the barrel and the wood is overall very good with a few minor scratches/dings. A very nice professional build.
