Lot 398 Browning Superposed 'Superlight' 12 Ga #2502S9

Belgium made over and under box-lock shotgun chambered for 2 3/4" 12 Gauge shells, manufactured circa 1969, and imported by Browning Arms Company out of St. Louis, MO., and Montreal P.Q. Featuring a blued finish, 26 1/2" solid ribbed barrels, fixed chokes marked for and measure Full / Mod, ejectors, steel bead front sight, single smooth curved inertia trigger, tang mounted serrated sliding barrel selector and safety, and a checkered top lever. The receiver, top lever, sides of the top barrels, and trigger guard display limited coverage floral engravings and edge designs. High gloss walnut furniture consists of a straight grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, long lower tang, sliding checkered forend with Deeley latch release, 14-3/4" length-of-pull, 1-1/2" drop at comb, 2-1/2" drop at heel, and an Old English black rubber recoil pad with black spacer. The original blued finish retained is approximately 97% with superficial scratches, some edge wear and thinning towards the muzzle. Metal displays no external rust or deformation. Furniture wood looks excellent with light scattered dings, mostly on the buttstock. Bores are good, bright, but the bottom bore shows a couple patches of residue or oxidation. The action is tight with the top lever standing right of center.
