^Lot 389 Ruger Vaquero .45 LC #57-40714

American made six shot revolver chambered for .45 Colt ammunition. Manufactured 1999. It has a gloss stainless finish with beautiful level C floral/scroll engraving by Firearms Engravers Guild of America member, master engraver Rachel Wells, covering the lower barrel, frame, triggerguard and back strap. ( Rachel, of Prescott AZ, passed away at 83 on June 10, 2023)The back strap is engraved in script Capt. James Malcolm OPD". James Malcolm served 48 years in Michigan law enforcement, including over 26 years in the Oxford Township, Michigan Police Dept. retiring as a captain. Included with this revolver are two Oxford Police patches and a signed copy of Captain Malcolm's book, "A History of the Oxford Michigan Police Department", 1022, full of color and B&W photos, FEGA certificate of the engraving from Rachel with a short history of Rachel Wells. Blade front sight, notch rear, smooth trigger, serrated hammer spur, faux ivory grips with Ruger medallions, fluted cylinder, and 3.75" barrel. Revolver exhibits some superficial scratches with no major wear observed. Bore is excellent/bright,grips are excellent. Action is crisp/smooth with tight lock-up.
