Lot 383a Remington Model 10 12 Ga #U113847

American made, and factory engraved, deluxe vintage slide-action shotgun chambered for 2-3/4" 12 Gauge shells, and manufactured in Ilion, NY. Shotgun features a blued finish, a 28" ribbed barrel, bore measures 'Full' with a drop-in gauge, steel bead front sight, smooth curved trigger, serrated trigger guard mounted manual safety, and right receiver mounted slide release. The select hardwood burl furniture consists of a round knob shoulder stock, checkered slide handle, and no recoil pad or butt plate. The receiver, barrel, and trigger guard are hand engraved with nearly full coverage of floral scrolls and edge designs. The original blued finish retained is approximately 50% with general thinning, edge wear, handling blemishes, and the original bluing turning to patina. The metal displays no observed rust, but there is slight deformation in some of the screw slots. The engravings and markings are sharp. The wood furniture is in good condition showing wear to the checkering, some blemishes, and scratches. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright and shiny. This is an excellent candidate for restoration with pleasing engraving.
Condition is NRA Good.
