^Lot 361 Saginaw SG / Blue Sky M1 Carbine .30 Cal

SN: 3279941. US military semiautomatic rifle manufactured during WWII, serial number indicates manufacture 05/43-02/44, imported back into the US by Blue Sky, Arlington VA. Metal parts show original gray parkerized wartime finish. Features 18" barrel, protected blade front sight,marked "PO B" (Prestole Division of Detroit Harvester Co.), type 3 stamped adjustable rear peep sight with range slide, type III barrel band with bayonet lug marked "KI" (Inland) smooth low wood, "I" cut birch stock with 4 rivet handguard, checkered steel buttplate, round top bolt, later type IV rotary safety, type IV mag catch marked with underlined "M", later style stamped trigger housing. . Barrel is marked "Saginaw SG Div. General Motors" with ordnance flaming bomb under it., importer stamp on left side near front sight. Retains 85% coverage of finish, with edge losses & handling marks. The bore is excellent/bright, wood is excellent, appears to have been lightly sanded with no visible cartouches. Includes a good condition 15 rd blued magazine marked "U" (Union Hardware), later green nylon sling with correct oiler.
