^Lot 328 Winchester Model 1892 .25-20 #508011

Vintage lever action rifle manufactured circa 1899. Chambered for .25-20 W.C.F. Features a shortened 21-1/2" octagon barrel, (Appears professionally period done, unknown if this was a special order, the tube magazines blue finish does not match the rest of the rifle but has old handling wear.) full length magazine tube, dovetailed blade front sight, buckhorn rear sights, smooth walnut forend & straight wristed buttstock, steel crescent buttplate. Bore is poor, dark/rough with worn rifling. Blued finish is about 30% mostly on the barrel/tube, receiver has turned a molted gray/brown patina with traces of blue remaining in protected areas, loading gate. has scattered light pitting, mostly on the receiver 7 lower barrel from handling. Winchester markings are clear, readable. Wood is good/sound, small dents, minor scratches. Action is smooth.
