Thompson Center "Contender" break action rifle chambered in .45-70 Government was manufactured in Rochester, N.H. circa 1970. It features a 17 3/8" (counting the compensator) blued round barrel, raised ramp front sight, muzzle compensator, and serrated hammer spur. It has the engraved Puma on both sides of the receiver, and curved serrated trigger. It has a contoured walnut forearm, and thumbhole stock with checkered plastic buttplate. Metal finish looks great at approximately 98% with little sign of handling. Wood is excellent with extremely light handling marks. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Comes with Leupold mounts and rings topped with a Weaver fixed 4x duplex scope. Barrel locks-up tight.
