Custom single-shot benchrest target rifle built on a Remington 700 action, chambered in 6mm PPC. The 6mm PPC (Palmisano & Pindell Cartridge) is widely regarded as the most accurate 100-200 yard benchrest cartridge ever developed. Barrel marked with caliber & "R. Smith O.P. KS 66210" signifies that the barrel was custom-made by gunsmith Ron Smith based in Overland Park (O.P.), Kansas (KS), using the zip code 66210. 24" heavy stainless steel barrel, no provisions for sights, matte black receiver & triggerguard. Safety removed, converted to single-shot. The Jewell adjustable trigger has a very light pull. Nice blonde wood benchrest stock with contrasting grip cap & forearm tip, shadow line cheek rest for right-handed shooting. Optics ready with two piece Redfield scope bases/rings installed on the receiver. The bore is pristine, finishes are excellent and the wood is overall excellent with some minor chips around the upper tang. Comes with Lee 6MM PPC reloading kit, a box of twenty Norma cased various target loads, box of twenty brass Norma cases and a box of 100 Sierra .243, 60 gr. hollow point bullets.
