^Lot 301 Remington Rand 1911A1 .45 ACP #1009029

U.S Military WWII era semiautomatic pistol manufactured circa 1943. Features a nickel plated refinish, (The VFW and the American Legion were known to Nickel plate after WW2 for Parades and ceremonies), checkered brown grips are replacements, 5" barrel, fixed front & dovetailed rear sights, single action, stamped trigger, grip safety, manual safety, serrated arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Bore has rifling , the groves are dark/rough. Retains all of the re-finish, minor scratches and light pitting showing underneath. Grips are very good. Markings include: "REMINGTON RAND" with address on slide, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", "M1911A1 US ARMY" (this area appears dished, perhaps struck a bit hard when stamped), "P" behind mag button, "HJA" below slide stop. Faint partial crossed cannons on right frame. Includes (1) very good condition US military 1M291 marked blued steel magazine.
