Lot 278 Browning SA-22 'Grade 3' .22 LR #T19462

Manufactured in Belgium by FN circa 1958. Semi-automatic take-down rifle. Fed from a tubular magazine in the buttstock. High-polish blued barrel with dovetailed blade front and adjustable "Wheel" rear sporting sights, gold toned trigger, push-button safety, beautiful satin finished shoulder stock and beaver tail forearm with fine checkered panels, steel serrated buttplate. The receivers finish is bright, receiver and triggerguard are engraved with intricate high relief scroll/floral engraving with scenes of bird dog flushing two pheasants on the left side, bird dog flushing three ducks on the right side and bird dog holding a duck in its mouth on top of the receiver. (Most likely Master engraver N. Watson, pre 1970 guns) Bore is excellent/bright, finish is excellent, there is some handling wear on the trigger, the wood is overall excellent with some very minor scratches/dings.
