Lot 262 High Standard Supermatic Tournament .22 LR #157075

The '106 Series,' a single-action semi-automatic target pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle, manufactured circa 1965-1966 (#9230). The 106 Series is commonly referred to as the military models as they were designed to provide the same grip angle and feel of an M1911 pistol. Pistol features a matte and polish blued finish, 5-1/2" bull barrel with a recessed crown, serrated push-button barrel release, integral cuts near the muzzle for a removable muzzle break, drilled & tapped holes at the 6 o' clock position for the addition of barrel weights, dovetailed partridge front sight, dovetailed adjustable rear sight with square notch, serrated wide color-case trigger, internal hammer, thumb safety on the left side of the frame, slide catch on the right side of the frame, pull-style magazine release on the toe of the frame, factory 10 round magazines, smooth grip straps, and two-piece checkered walnut thumb-rest grips. The original blued finish retained is approximately 97% showing light edge wear at the muzzle, some light thinning along the right side of the barrel, and a few scattered superficial scratches. Metal displays no rust or deformation. The backstrap has a brass bullet shaped plug in the frame which was done at the factory. Action is smooth and crisp, the bore is bright with strong rifling. The wood grips are excellent with nothing remarkable. Includes the original factory two-piece maroon cardboard box, two barrel weights, and a three magazines total.
Condition is near NRA Very Good to Excellent.
