^Lot 222 Colt New Frontier .44 Spl #12005NF

Colt 3rd Generation Single action revolver chambered in .44 Special. Manufactured in Hartford, CT circa 1981. The New Frontier was introduced as an ‘improved’ version of the Single Action Army with a heavy flattop frame, raised serrated ramp front sight and fully-adjustable rear sight. Features a polished blued & case hardened finish, 7 1/2" barrel, ejector rod with crescent head, fluted six-shot cylinder, checkered hammer spur, smooth curved trigger and smooth oversized walnut grips with gold Colt medallions. Includes the original wood grain cardboard box, styrofoam inserts, and documents. Revolver retains approximately 99% of its original finish showing a very faint drag line on the cylinder. The action is strong, the bore is excellent and walnut grips are excellent. Box is poor, missing end flap, torn, scuffed.
